We got up early and headed to the hospital. I was incredibly sick... I was SO nervous. We valeted (I don't know if that's how you spell that...) the car and went in the hospital. We were nervously looking of the right place to be, when we passed to women in the hallway. It turned out to be M and her mom. As soon as she saw me she said, "are you Kasey?" And, I said "yes, are you M?" We laughed and hugged and her mom teared up. Literally, as soon as we saw her I felt a sense of peace.
We got in the room and anxiously awaited the news of the amnio. We waited and waited. Talked, and laughed. Finally, almost 3 hours later we got the results. Jameson's lungs are not ready yet... according to the test. We found out that really the test has to be done on the fluid within an hour of when they take it, but we know it took way over that for them to test it. None of us are convinced that he is not ready. But, needless to say, after talking with the doctor, we are scheduled for a c-section a week from tomorrow. All going as planned Jameson will be here by 9 or so Eastern time on January 30th.
M is very upset, she wants this baby to be out! We just want what is best for her and the baby. She is in a lot of pain, and she says that she plans to be in labor by Friday, she cannot have the baby without a c-section, so we hope she goes into labor and can easily get to the hospital without a problem. Her mom lives about an hour and a half a way and M has two young kids, so it is going to be difficult to get this all arranged, but hopefully it will all be ok. We hope she goes sooner, rather than later, but if we have to wait until Wednesday we will be ok with that too.
We were torn whether or not to go back home, but the flight and drive are just a whole lot of time and energy, when we don't know if she will go before now and Wednesday. We moved to the cheaper hotel room, and plan on eating lots of continental breakfast, and get some peanut butter and jelly so we can afford to stay here. We don't want to miss this baby! We will loose one of our weeks of 'maternity and paternity' (not that we get paid for it anyway), but I can take another week off if I need to, and Lee already has 4 and half weeks paid, and if he has to take some 'sick' days later he can.
With all the talking we did today, we found out a lot of stuff. I am going to be in the room with the c-section and see him right after he is born, and then we will all get to see him in about an hour after he is born. M is set to have a room off the labor and delivery floor, so she will not be around the baby. She says right now, as long as they keep her awake during the surgery, that she will look at him when he comes out and then doesn't want to see him again. She's handling this REALLY well. We will have a room during the day to hang out with Jameson, until he leaves the hospital. They also said there is room they could give us during the night that is right across the street (we will have to see if it is available when the time comes though).
That's about all I know right now. Lee and I are looking forward to the sleep that we are going to get while waiting, so I'm off to take a nap. :)
One more thing, we need to pray for her and her kids, she is having some problems with the birthfather of Jameson harassing her. The attorneys served him today, and ever since then he has been calling her. He would have no rights to Jameson so it's not us we have to worry about, but we're worried he might come and find where she lives and hurt her or her kids. Please pray that everything will be ok, this is one of the main reasons she wanted to have the baby today.
We will update when we hear anything... otherwise we're just here hanging out.

Well, there is nothing wrong with hanging out and just relaxing! The birthmother and her family are definitely in my prayers. It's so wonderful that M has her mother's support. That makes a world of difference. And, it's great that you got to spend some time with her. Think of all the memories you will get to share with Jameson. Hang in there.
(sunshinehugs from FF)
We love you.
You, Lee, Jameson and everyone involved are in our prayers. We are soooo happy for you guys. Take lots of pictures...Can't wait to see you all back home. =)
I think it's a great plan to wait there and rest. Maybe he'll come soon. I'm praying for y'all! Love you!
